Headline: Republicans Say Obama Has Done Little To Revive Economy

Obama’s State of The Union Address has come to pass, and I’m pretty mixed about it. The Apple iPad announcement totally overshadowed the speech today for me. In some ways, there are many parallels. It’s all about being able to manage expectations and perception. They both set their own expectations, which are sometimes idealized and lofty. If people are disappointed, they have no one to blame but themselves. When you throw around words like “change” and “hope” or “magical” and “revolutionary”, you better damn well deliver.
