LA Inspirations #1

I don’t know if this is an appropriate title for this post. I don’t know if it’s deserving of the number one. This may be the beginning of something? I hope it is the first of many in a series of things I want to share regarding Los Angeles. There is always something that catches my eye when I’m in downtown. They are sometimes ugly, sometimes old, sometimes beautiful and sometimes new. They are rarely, if ever, disappointing.

Today, I was only given less than a second to appreciate what I saw. I cross the street. Main and 4th. She zooms by on her fixed gear bike. I was able to notice that much, but wasn’t able to get a good glimpse of her face. She’s fast. She’s in a rush. She makes it look so effortless. Just like that, she was gone. I try to remember the details and all I remember are the colors. Her seafoam green pants, her dark navy blue shirt, her red-framed sunglasses and beige colored bicycle. Everything else was a blur.
